Some gel pads are thicker at the front or back, allowing you to slightly adjust or correct the position of your saddle. This is advantageous when your horse is growing and may have more or less muscling for a short period.     A sheepskin saddle pad comes in many different designs. The sheepskin is extremely soft for your horse's skin and is known for its cushioning effect.
